Air-Score available on Aura-CO2 dashboard
Designed for public buildings, the Aéro-Score in french or Air-Score in english is an index showing you the quality of indoor air exchange.
Based on a score of 𝗔 (Excellent) to 𝗘 (Inadequate), it was made by Nousaérons.fr involving several people and working groups from the academic world, health and civil society.
Aura-CO2 users can have access to their Air-Score now on:
Air-score is compatible with the opinion of the High Council of Public Health of January 21 2022: "Opinion concerning the measurement of carbon dioxide in indoor air of public buildings".
The index is determined by the following CO2 levels associated with recommendations from the French Environmental Code:
A - EXCELLENT (CO2 < 600 ppm):
This rate is recommended by many scientists to help against COVID-19 and other aerosol-borne viruses in restoration sites where wearing a mask is not possible.
B - GOOD (600 ppm < CO2 < 800 ppm):
This rate is a recommendation of the High Council of Public Health and many scientists to helps against COVID-19 and other viruses spreading by aerosols.
C - MEDIUM (800 ppm < CO2 level < 1000 ppm):
Corresponds, in France, to the rate recommended by the Departmental Health Regulations in force in each department.
D - POOR (1000 ppm < CO2 level < 1500 ppm):
From this CO2 level, the Aura-CO2 buzzer will start to ring and and the screen will change to Alarm mode.
E - INADEQUATE (CO2 levels > 1500 ppm):
Corresponds to an immediate action threshold, recommended by the High Council of Public Health.
Note that these thresholds are valid for an outdoor CO2 level of about 410 ppm, which serves as a reference. This rate can reach, especially during pollution episodes, up to 500 ppm or even beyond. In these cases, the thresholds to be monitored should be adjusted to the observed increase in the outside rate. For example, if the outdoor CO2 level is 510 ppm, 100 ppm (= 510 ppm - 410 ppm) must be added to all of the above proposed thresholds.
